The Waycross – Ware County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce we will be continuing the fun this year with the SwampTown Scarecrows. This event will enhance the community, create positive public relations, increase business revenue, and boost tourism in our area. You do not want to miss out on being a part of this fun event as anticipation begins!

 

In order to be featured on the flyer, the deadline to enter the SwampTown Scarecrows competition is Friday, September 23, 2022.

 

There is NO theme and NO minimum/maximum number of scarecrows you must use in your display.

 

You will receive a yard sign that will need to be placed with your display, these will be delivered starting October 1, 2021, which means you should have your display up by this date.

 

All SwampTown Scarecrow activities will begin October 4, 2022.  

 

We will begin the SwampTown Scarecrows Scavenger Hunt on October 4, 2022 – you will be notified if the “Golden Pumpkin” is placed at your display.

 

Every Scavenger Hunt winner will have to take a selfie in front of your display and tag both your business and the Chamber on their social media to receive their prize. The prizes will be made up of things donated from the participants such as pens, cups, gift cards, etc. The items will be collected up until October 1st and will be placed in goodie bags for the winners.
